Questions and answers
Is PliCount free?
Yes, free and without ads.
Do I need an account?
No, nobody has to sign up, not even to join a shared game. The app signs in anonymously by itself, so that a shared game knows its creator. An account (email or Google, in *Compte*) is optional: it keeps you the admin of your shared games on all your devices.
How do the other players join?
With the 6 digit code of the game, valid 2 days (a new one on demand), its link or its QR code. As many phones as you like can follow the same game, and any of them can enter a deal.
Does it work offline?
A game on one phone needs no network. A shared game works offline too and catches up when the network is back; creating a shared game or joining one needs the network.
Which games?
Coinche, belote, tarot at 3, 4 or 5 players, and free scoring for any other game. Rule variants (rounding, a litige carried over...) are not options yet: see the rules.
What if two phones enter the same deal?
Both are added: delete one by tapping it on the score sheet.
On which devices?
In a recent browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer: open plicount.web.app. There is no app in the stores yet.
Is the app in English?
Not yet: the app speaks French for now, like the games it counts best. This site is in English and French.
What happens to my games?
A game on one phone stays on that phone. A shared game is stored in the European Union, readable by whoever has its link or its code, until its creator deletes it. The details are in the privacy policy.
Who makes PliCount?
Tekartik, in France, who also makes Buzzerelio for quiz nights and Sondelio to pick a date together.
